DOROTHY MAE ANDREWS

July 25, 1941 - April 18, 2018


Dorothy Mae Brown Andrews, age 76, of Ellijay passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. She was born July 25, 1941 to Steven and Martha Kay Brown in Keokuk, Iowa.

Mrs. Andrews is survived by her children, Gracie and William McDowell of Ellijay, Steven and Arlecie Andrews of Talking Rock, Lori Byess of Talking Rock, Jackie and Stacy Andrews of Ball Ground, Rebecca and Greg Collis of Talking Rock; brother, Joner Jr. Brown; sister-in-law, Susan Andrews; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Katie Andrews; and husband Ronald Andrews.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Jackie Ellington officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Forest Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, April 20, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper, Georgia.
