LAWRENCE “LARRY” DEAN PERRIGO

June 12, 1942 – July 27, 2017

Lawrence “Larry” Dean Perrigo of Ball Ground, Georgia passed away on July 27, 2017. Larry was born in Houlton, Maine to Kenneth and Marie Perrigo on June 12, 1942. He graduated from Massena High School in 1960. He joined the Air Force after graduation and played trombone in the Air Force Band. He also served in the U.S. Navy and National Guard. He belonged to I.B.E.W. and was also a Mason. He had many hobbies including repairing antique cars, flying helicopters and was a skilled builder, having built his Ball Ground residence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marie Perrigo and a half-sister, Joyce Suma.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice Perrigo of Ball Ground; sons, Kevin Perrigo of Gorham, Maine, Timothy Kennedy of Swansboro, North Carolina, Steven Perrigo of Swansboro, North Carolina, Brian Kennedy of Niantic, Connecticut; daughter, Dorothy Thomas of Cadiz, Kentucky; brothers, Terry Perrigo of Cumming, Georgia, Robert Perrigo of Chino Valley, Arizona; sisters, Beverly LaBale of Syracuse, New York, Loretta White of Bombay, New York; half-brothers, Phillip Perrigo of Southington, Connecticut; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Hope Lutheran Church (Highway 5; Ellijay, Georgia) with Pastor David Smedley officiating.
