TIMMY (TIM) HUGH RITTENBERRY


Timmy (Tim) Hugh Rittenberry, age 60 of Rome, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Redmond Hospital after a two-month courageous fight with cancer. Tim was born on February 16, 1958 in Jasper to the late Doyle and Betty Rittenberry.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother; his brother, David Rittenberry and his sister, Mildred Rittenberry; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Leola Tinsley; and brother-in-law, Buster Davis. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Lynn Rittenberry, and their two children; David (Brandy) Rittenberry and Rebecca (Richard) Heard; siblings Regina Davis, Virginia (David) Patterson, and Mark (Renea) Rittenberry; and two grandchildren, Kaleigha Richards and Connor Rittenberry.

Tim was a loving husband, father, and former pastor of Calcedonia Baptist Church in Centre, Alabama. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time on Lake Weiss in Alabama, surrounded by family and friends.

A memorial graveside service will be held this Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Whitestone Baptist Church Cemetery in Talking Rock, Georgia for the family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Whitestone Baptist Church in care of Deryl Hyde at 53 Cripple Creek Drive; Ellijay, Georgia 30536 in memory of Tim.
