Mr. Jimmy Leon Young, age 57, of Jasper, Georgia, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, following a period of declining health.
Born May 21, 1954, Mr. Young was the son of the late Waymon Max Young and Lola Belle Callahan Young. Mr. Young was also preceded in death by his Brothers, Sgt. Bobby A. Young and Randall Lee Young.
Survivors include his Brothers, Larry Young, of Jasper, Gary Young, of Jasper, Ricky Young, of Jasper, and Michael Young, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and his Sister, Patsy Thacker, of Jasper, Georgia.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 22, 2012, from the chapel of Roper Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Boyd officiating. The interment will follow at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday, 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., all day Saturday, and until the funeral hour on Sunday.
The family will accept flowers, but donations can also be made to Amedysis Home Health, 91 Sammy McGhee Blvd. # 104, Jasper, Georgia 30143.
Roper Funeral Home & Crematory of Jasper, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
