He was born November 22, 1957 to Gene and Angeline Higgins in Tate, Georgia. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Scott is survived by his wife, Freida Higgins of Jasper; children, Kelly Henderson of Virginia, Gena McArthur of Jasper, Reuben Burnley of Jasper, Tisa Epps of Jasper; mother, Angeline Higgins of Jasper. A host of grandchildren and his beloved puppy, Sassy, also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Higgins; brother, Daniel Higgins; and cousin, Jerry Higgins. A memorial service will be held at 9:30am on Thursday July 11, 2024 at the Georgia National Cemetery with Rick Hales officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
