Yeast, age 85, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at his home. He was born December 24, 1939 to Albia and Mary Yeast in Ft. Branch, Indiana. He graduated from Ft. Branch High School in 1958 and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army. He was a member of Jasper United Methodist Church. Albia is survived by his wife, Brenda Yeast of Jasper; brother and sister-in-law, Orval "Butch" and Linda Yeast of Jasper; sister-in-law, Joyce Logsdon of Evansville, Indiana; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna and Garry Ghormley of Lynnville, Indiana; brother-in-law, Mike Kostbade of Newburgh, Indiana; nephew, Jeffery and Michelle Yeast of Jasper; niece, April Yeast of Jasper; nephew, Paul and Laura Logsdon of Indianapolis, Indiana; niece, Lori Kostbade and David Matteson of Henderson, Kentucky; niece, Amy and Ryan Fairchild of Evansville, Indiana; eight great nieces and nephews; and two great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy A. Yeast; sister-in-law, Marjorie E. Kostbade, brother-in-law, James Clardy; and parents, Albia and Mary Yeast. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 15, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Sheila Crowe officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Drive; Canton, GA 30114.) The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Thursday evening, August 14, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
