Alice spent almost 30 years as a school nurse for the Pickens County School System becoming known as "Nurse Alice" to all the children she called her "babies". Throughout the years she took care of many students and deeply touched the lives of many more with her generosity and sincere kindness. Retired for 8 years, she would still get hugs from her "babies" when seen out in the community. Alice is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Tommy Qualls; daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Greg Parks, Sherry and Rick Anderson; son and daughter-in-law, Bo and Skyler Qualls; grandchildren, Austin, Ansley, Thomas, Luke, Carly, Charity, and John; sisters, Debbie and Mike Taylor, Sue and Larry Hight, Teresa and Larry Fountain. Many beloved nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Artie and Margaret Ray Funeral Services will be held 4:00 p.m., Monday, July 7, 2025 at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. James Thompson and Reverend Adam Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The family will be accepting flowers or donations may be made to Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
