He was 73 years of age. Tony was born on July 24, 1948 in Cumming, Georgia. He was the son of the late Aaron and Laura Mae Mitchell. Tony is survived by his wife, Carol Martin Mitchell, of 55 years; son, Anthony Aaron Mitchell Jr. (Amy); grandchildren, Caleb Aaron Mitchell and Cameron McCall Mitchell; two sisters, Peggy (George) Cothran, Freda (Dennis) Brown; sister in law, Claudette (Buddy) Reese; along with many other nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Graveside Services will be held at Green Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Roper Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family request in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made in memory of Mr. Mitchell to Carol Mitchell 64 Whitetail Drive Jasper, Ga. 30143.
