Avery was born in Jasper, GA on July 27, 1959 to Freeman Padgett Jr and Reba Grizzle Padgett. Survivors include: Mother, Reba Padgett of Jasper; daughter and daughter-in-law, Chelsi and Idalia Padgett; grandson Lucas Padgett; long time girlfriend, Diane Young of Jasper; sister, Karen West of Jasper; nephew, Daniel and Kendra West of White; great niece, Tatum West of White; step son, Jason Young (Sara Hamrick) of Jasper; step daughter, Jessica Young of Jasper; ex-wife, Demeris Berner; and many other family also survive. Avery was preceded in death by his father Jr Padgett and his best friend Mark Walker. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation at www.parkinson.org.
