She was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Purdy. Barbara was the first female graduate of Southern Technical School Architectural Institute. Barbara is survived by her children, Al Purdy of Tampa, Florida, Patricia Rosenberg of Jasper, Georgia, Mary Bohling of Sparta, Georgia, John Purdy of North Redding Beach, Florida, Timothy Purdy of Tucker, Georgia, Teresa Purdy of Clearwater, Florida and Candice Purdy Estes of Conyers, Georgia; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sister, Shirley Bloom of Cartersville. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Our Lady of The Mountains Catholic Church in Jasper. A burial service will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Honey Creek Woodlands at 2625 Highway 212 SW; Conyers, GA 30094.
