Mrs. Bertie Carver Owenby, age 99, of Talking Rock, Georgia died Sunday, October 31, 2021. Mrs. Owenby is survived by her daughter, Shirley McArthur of Talking Rock; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Monona Owenby of Columbus; four grandchildren, Michael McArthur, Crisanna Hayes, Marcus Owenby, Matthew Owenby; ten great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home in Jasper with Reverend Joey Phillips, Reverend Tim Hyde, and Reverend Stevie Chadwick officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted in memory of Mrs. Owenby.
