She was born April 28, 1943 to James and Annie Anderson in Tate, Georgia. Betsy is survived by her daughter, Paula Russell (Deon Hood), Anthony Russell (Veronica Russell), Perry Russell, Angela Thompson (Steven Thompson); grandchildren, Keisha Washington (Darien Washington), Christy Garcia (Ben Garcia), Tanisha Russell, Anthony Russell (Makayla Russell), Jeremy Strickland, Keairra Rochester, Angie Davis, Michael Russell, Steven Russell, Sean Glasker, Kendrick Glasker, Tredan Russell, Antequa Russell; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchldren; special family and friends, Owen Russell (Sallie Mae Russell), Uncle Leron Moore, Roderick Moore (Kay Moore), Lois Cherry, Robert Brown (Zora Brown), Roleda Dozier, Linda Durham, Sharon Benson, Julie Story, Janet Stephens, Cecil Stephens, Bobby Stephens, Anderson Families, Lynn Clements, and Andrea Dawson. She was preceded in death by son, Todd Russell; grandchildren, Samantha Russell and Todd Austin. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2022 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Bishop Lance Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Forest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Deon Hood, Sidney Hooks, Ben Garcia, Anthony Stephens, Willie Stephens, and Greg Hampton. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Food may be brought to Hazel Mosely Community Center at 180 Burton St., Jasper, GA 30143 on Friday December 30, 2022.
