On February 25, 2025, heaven gained a beautiful soul, Betty Louise Hand, 91, passed away peacefully in Jasper, GA.
Born Betty Louise Krill in Montrose, CO in 1933, she lived in CO until 1942 when her family moved to Washington State. When she was 14 years old, she met Roland Ray Bentley at school. He moved away but obviously never forgot Betty, because in 1949 while he was in the Navy, he wrote Betty a letter and they exchanged many letters, and he always visited her on leave. On June 20, 1952, in Berkley, CA they were married. Betty was a dedicated Air Force wife and mother. They settled in Midwest City, OK in1969 where they resided for many years. Betty worked for the local bank from 1973 till she retired in 1989. Roland passed away in 1992. Betty later re-married Edward Hand until his passing in 2003. She then moved to Ranger, GA to be with family.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Lucille Krill; her sister, Patsy Petrie; husbands, Roland Ray Bentley and Edward Hand; and son, Rodney Bentley. She is survived by her daughters, Diane Reineri, Teresa Bentley, Sandra Eagan; her son, David Bentley; stepsons, Donnie and Bernie Hand; 5 grandchildren, Jason, Shannon, Cameron, Megan and Cody and 9 great grandchildren; Savannah, Colyn, Madison, Chase, Caden, Carson, Raelee, Koda and Scottie.
Betty loved tending to her roses, reading, square dancing, crocheting, attending church, spending time with family and watching Hallmark movies. Her family will miss her more than words can express. She will forever be in their hearts and forever loved.
Betty will be laid to rest next to Roland Bentley at Arlington Memorial Cemetery in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
