Brenda was born on August 9, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia to Charles and Ethel Lee Rainwater Teal. Brenda is survived by her daughter, Susan Carter of Jasper; grandson and the light of her life, Max Carter of Jasper; sister, Barbara Meeks of Fairburn; brother and sister-in-law, Dill and Betty Teal of Fairburn; sister, Janice Campbell of Fairburn; sister-in-law, Barbara and Lamar Puckett of Hickory Flat; father of her grandson, Kevin Carter of Jasper; her Nelson Baptist Church family; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2026 from the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Thompson officiating. The interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens; 1140 West Church Street; Jasper, GA 30143. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Monday, October 12, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to the Nelson Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
