He was born April 26, 1944 to Fain and Dora Jones in Dalton, Georgia. Mr. Jones proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Buddy is survived by his wife, Sheila Jones of Jasper; children, Scott Jones of New York, Kim Jones of Jasper, Tammy Hollifield of Jasper; stepson, Tim Whitlock of Marietta; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2024 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Andy Wilson officiating. His cremains will be interred at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Friday, April 5, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Foundation or Veterans Association.
