He was born February 6, 1934 to Carl and Ida Mae Stancil Sr. in Canton, Georgia. Carl is survived by children, Carolyn Stancil and Ricki Tucker of Jasper, Michael and Marian Stancil of Jasper, Donna and Bobby Marshall of Dallas, Leslie Stancil of Jasper; grandchildren, Penny, Shawn, Gabrielle, Kristi, Tabitha, Clate, Amy, Laura, Jade; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Perry Stancil; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Pam Stancil; sister, Vivian Westbrook; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sara O'Shields, Leon and Faye Free, Brenda and Bobby Quick, and Coreen Thomason. Several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Jean Stancil and sisters, Ola Bell and Helen. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 3:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
