Collins, age 21, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 in Jasper. He was born November 11, 2001 to Trency Collins and Kerry Strickland in Dalton, Georgia. Carter is survived by his fiance, Nichole Chambers of Dalton; son, Liam Collins of Dalton; mother, Kerry Strickland of Jasper; father, Trency "Jess" Collins of Dalton; sisters, Samantha Coker of Jasper, Emily Carnes Burgess of Ellijay, Chloe Collins of Dallas, North Carolina; brother, Preston Norris of Jacksonville, North Carolina; grandmother, Sharon Jenkins of Dalton. Several aunts, uncles, nephews, and a niece also survive. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Herb and Blanche Strickland, Betty and Loy Hammontree, Janice and D.L. Jenkins; grandfather, Ray Strickland; grandmother, Lynn Hammontree Dorsey; and uncle, Matthew Strickland. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2023 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Chloe Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Mica Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Friday, June 30, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
