Charlie "Doc" Wigington was born January 21, 1943 to Charlie Thomas Sr. and Jean Wigington. Charlie "Doc" Wigington was a truck driver all through his life. He loved collecting guns and knives and was an active member of the NRA. He was a Teamster that loved deep sea fishing, the Braves, and his grandchildren as well as being a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Howard McIntyre of Ellijay; son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Amanda Wigington of Jasper; grandchildren, Jeremiah Quinton of Talking Rock, Jessie Quinton of Talking Rock, and Ben Wigington of Jasper; brother, Terrell Wigington of Jasper; sister, Margaret Holmes of Jasper; brother, Joe Wigington of Marietta; sister, Vanessa Cooper of Jasper; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Charlie "Doc" Wigington was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Wigington and his parents, Charlie Sr. and Jean Wigington. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Roper Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Grant Wade officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Monday, October 10, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service hour.
