He was born August 12, 1998 to William and Pamela Massey in Canton, Georgia. Dakota is survived by his mother, Pamela Laney of Jasper; father, William Massey of Jasper; sister and brother -in-law, Cheyenne and Terry Arnold; niece, Olivia Arnold of Jasper; grandmother, Vivian Donehoo of Jasper; aunt and uncle, Keith and Eva Estes of Jasper; uncle, Blake Estes of Jasper; uncle and aunt, Kenny and Jeanie Fain of Waleska; cousins, Sean and Cortney Estes and daughter Audrey of Jasper, Rachel and Omar Landaverde and sons, Hudson and Hendricks of Jasper, Emily and Zach Brown and son, Jonah of Jasper, Kelly Wade and children, Emma Wade and Harley Fain of Rydal, and Michael Fain of Waleska. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Tommy Donehoo, Calvin Massey, grandmother, Melba Massey, and cousin, Amy Fain. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Keith Estes and Sean Estes officiating. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dakota's memory to Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
