He was born September 29, 1946 to Andrew and Muriel Thomason in Jasper. Daniel is survived by his wife, Phyllis Thomason of Calhoun; son and daughter-in-law, Drew and Jinger Thomason of Calhoun; grandson, Colton Thomason of Calhoun; step-grandsons, Kevin Gilbert of Calhoun, David Gilbert of Calhoun; step-great-granddaughters, Abby Gilbert of Rome, Sember Gilbert of Rome; special niece, Angie Alexandersen of Cartersville; special niece and nephew, Marsha and Butch Brendel of Talking Rock; brother, Homer Thomason of Lilburn; and sister, Nora Bunch of Jasper. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Muriel Thomason; siblings, Otis Thomason, Kathleen Wilson, Josephine Thomason, Geri Stewart, Marie Baker, and Joan Arp. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at County Line Baptist Church with Reverend Jess Posey officiating. Reverend Mark Owens will conduct the graveside service. Interment will follow in the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at County Line Baptist Church on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
