David was born on April 1, 1953 to George and Lorene Mulkey Fitts in Tate, Georgia. David is survived by his wife, Teresa Fitts of Dawsonville; son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Caroline Fitts of Auburn, Georgia; son, Elijah Fitts of Dawsonville; brothers, Billy Pearson of Eufaula, Alabama, Daniel and Estelle Fitts of Jasper, and Stevie Fitts of Marble Hill. Several other family members also survive. David was preceded in death by his parents, George Ray Fitts and Lorene Mulkey Fitts. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2026 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Tyler Goode and Johnny Padgett officiating. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The family will be accepting flowers and gift cards.
