Delores was born on September 4, 1926 in Blue Ridge, GA to William and Lily Porter Green. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Duriece and Patrick "Buddy" Capano of Jasper; son, Darrell Gray of Jasper; grandchildren, Heather and Steve Gilbert of Jasper, and Phil Capano of Virginia, Tyler Gray of Calhoun, and Brittney Gray Anderson; great grandchildren, JaVauni Capano and Janvaya Campano; sister, Ruth May of Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Ruth Green of Blue Ridge; and several great grandchildren and extended family also survive. Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Conway Gray, Jr; her son Virgil Conway Gray III; brothers, EW Green, Leon Green, and Ronald Green; and sister, Diahn "Wenald" McCurdy. Delores will be interred at Georgia National Cemetery at 1:30pm on October 23, 2026. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
