Dewey is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Wigington of Jasper; children, Edwin and Earlene Wigington of Tate, Lisa and Ric Seymour of Gainesville; sister, Lois Ledbetter of Jasper; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Billy and Martha Wigington of Marble Hill, Johnny and Barbara Wigington of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Rachel and Jonathan Rawls of SouthBend, Indiana, Jonathan and Hailey Wigington of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Daniel Seymour of Gainesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Minnie Lee Wigington. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Roper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend A.W. Butch Roberts officiating. The interment will follow in the Gospel Temple Church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. The family request no food be brought to the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
