He was born March 4, 1941 to H. L. (Shorty) and Ruby Turner. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Jasper. Don is survived by his wife, Brenda Yvonne Turner of Jasper; and sister, Jan Holt of Jasper. Several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Emory Turner, Mack Turner and sister, Dot Norrell. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens at 1140 West Church Street; Jasper, GA 30143. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Friday, November 28, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
