He was born March 8, 1941 to Frank and Lois Rice in Constantine, Michigan. Don is survived by his wife, Carrie Rice of Jasper; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kellie Rice; daughter and son-in-law, Randi Rice Cooper and Mike Cooper; son, Eric Rice; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Rice Kelly and Nathaniel Brooke Kelly; grandchildren, Kristi Murphy, Michael Rice, Alex Rice, Troy Allen, Ross Rice, Ansley Tullos, Mikaela Kelly, Sydney Kelly; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be held 12:30 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Rucker officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
