She was born August 11, 1946 to Mack and Doris McKinnon in Bradenton, Florida. Donna was a woman of deep compassion and unwavering faith, whose love for others was evident in every part of her life. She dedicated her time to volunteering at the Ruth House, where she formed meaningful connections and cared deeply for the women she served. She also found great joy in visiting KC's Corner, where the employees became like daughters to her, sharing laughter, encouragement, and love. Donna was a guiding light and role model to many young women, offering wisdom, kindness, and strength. Above all, she was a devoted mother to her sons and a woman who loved the Lord wholeheartedly. Donna is survived by her son, Billy Smith of Fairmount; brother and sister-in-law, Dariel and Sherry McKinnon of Demorest; sister and brother-in-law, Billie and Mike Leslie of Lake City, Florida; and sister, Phyllis Stuart of Lake City, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Doris McKinnon; her husband, Bill Smith; son, Tommy Smith; and sisters, Caroline Jones and Kathryn Little. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Fairmount Community Center from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (11921 Fairmount Highway SE; Fairmount, GA 30139) Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
