She was born January 13, 1944 to Jim and Tinie Colley of the Grandview Community. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Sharptop Baptist Church for 68 years, where her husband served as a deacon for many years. She was an antique enthusiast, but her favorite pastime was being with her grandchildren and great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Smith. Doris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Todd Payne; grandchildren, Bailey and Hunter Fowler of Jasper, Ty Payne of Jasper; great-grandson, Hudson Fowler. Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. In accordance with her wishes, a private service will be held for family members. It will be an intimate farewell to celebrate her life. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation for the kindness, support, and medical care from PruittHealth, PruittHealth Hospice, and The Retreat at Jasper.
