He was born July 7, 1960 to Gene and Sarah Frances Davis in Tate, Georgia. Eddie is survived by his wife, Linda Davis of Jasper; daughters, Alicia and Shannon Samples of Jasper, Ashley and Kevin Newsome of Jasper, Amberly Davis (Brad) of Canton; extended daughter, Sarah and James Stephens of Hiram; grandchildren, Westin, Haven, Levi, Maria, Ryan, Kali, Zachary, Kelsey, Mackenzie, and Taylor; sister, Debbie Rooker of Jasper; brother, Danny and Julie Stell of Reo; brothers-in-law, Jack and Becky Cheshire of Ball Ground, Jimmy and Caitlyn Cheshire of Ball Ground; sister-in-law, Brenda Shirley of Ball Ground. Other family members also survive. He was preceded in death by parents, Gene and Sarah Davis. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Free Hope Baptist with Rev. Grant Wade officiating. Interment will follow in the Free Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Friday, October 23, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
