He was born August 18, 1952 in Canton, Georgia. Eddie loved sports, especially cheering on any of the Atlanta teams, whether it was football, baseball, or basketball. More than anything, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories and sharing in their lives with joy and pride. Eddie is survived by his daughter, Ashley Smith (Cory) of Jasper; son, Christopher Duncan (Katlyn); grandchildren, Ella Duncan, Lawson Duncan; brother, Teddy Duncan; mother-in-law, Jeanette Lawson; sister-in-law, Shelia Buckner; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lorrie and Scott Shaw, Al and Terri Lawson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Duncan; mother, Cathryn Norrell; father, Gene Duncan; father-in-law, A. W. (Dub) Lawson. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
