Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Karen Satterfield of Calhoun, daughter Debbie Neese of Talking Rock, brother Robert Herndon of Calhoun, brother Edward Herndon of Ellijay, sister Shirley Kirby of Calhoun, sister Bennie Bell of Calhoun, sister Linda Mabry of Canton, and brother of Danny Herndon of Calhoun, grandchildren: Eric and Lisa Satterfield of Calhoun, Shawn and Windy Satterfield of Calhoun, Ryan Satterfield of Nashville, Tony Roper of Talking Rock, Christy and Mitchell Sams of Jasper, Casey and Zack Bennett of Talking Rock, and Jesi and Randy Barrett of Ball Ground, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. Edna was preceded in death by her husband Jess Satterfield, parents Milton and Naomi Satterfield, brothers Hoyle Herndon and Donny Herndon, and sister Bernice Payne. Services will be held 2:00pm Saturday October 14, 2023 at Long Swamp Baptist Church with Rev. Emuel Sanford officiating. The interment will follow in the Long Swamp Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Friday October 13, 2023 from 5:00pm until 8:30pm and Satruday from 9:00am until 1:00pm.
