Buchanan, age 67, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at his home. He was born September 8, 1955 to Homer and Hazel Buchanan in Tate, Georgia. Ed is survived by his wife, Margaret Buchanan of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Justin Hamrick; son and daughter-in-law, Jacob and Morgan Fleming; grandchildren, Jamie Hamrick, Delilah Hamrick, Foster Fleming; sister, Dianne Buchanan; brothers and step-sisters, Sharon Haynes, Debra Faucett, Tim Wofford, Gail Ray, John Castleberry, Eddie Castleberry, L. W. Castleberry, and Hazel Castleberry. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by parents, Homer and Hazel Buchanan; brothers, Ted Buchanan, Fred Buchanan; sister, Brenda Wofford. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2023 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
