Edward was a beloved husband and family man, avid outdoors man and "Pa". Edward was born in Tennessee on March 22, 1943 to Ernest Elzie and Jessie Mae Jones. Edward is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joan Jones of Fairmount; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy Edward "TJ" and Dawn Jones of Ball Ground; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte "Cindy" and Bradley Scott of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, David Beecher and Jill Jones of Talking Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Elisha Joan and Ron Davis of Rydal; daughter and son-in-law, Olivia Joann and Chris Hay of Cadwell; son and daughter-in-law, Edward Beecher, Jr. and Carrie Jones of Ball Ground; grandchildren, Blair Jones, TJ and Megan Jones, Brooke Jones, Clay Walker, Hayden and Haley Scott, Collin and Tiffany Scott, Hallie Long, Hollie and Bryan Morris, Lukus and Elisha Jones, Kaleb Jones and Paige Ross, Mason and Bailey Roper, Ron III Davis, Conner Davis and Shelby Crace, Hunter Hay, Jordan and Daeton Fralix, Sydni Hay, Logan Hay, Reece Jones, and Levi Jones; great grandchildren: Layton, Millie, one on the way, Lyle, Savannah, Rhett, Ansleigh, Chloe, Bennett, Maela and Westin; sister, Francis Blackwell of Jasper; sister, June Thacker of Tate; and brother and sister-in-law Terry and Shirley Jones of Demorest. Several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Papa Jones and Momma Jones; baby brothers, Jimmy and Danny; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Claude Callahan; brother-in-law, Travis Thacker and brother-in-law, William "Jr" Blackwell. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Saturday March 8, 2025 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
