Eddie passed away peacefully at home in Jasper, Georgia, December 21, 2024. Eddie enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1967 at the age of 18. Eddie was preceded in death by his mother Catherine (Booth) Redmond Wallace, and his father, James William Redmond. He is survived by his loving wife and high school sweetheart, Lynne Redmond; his three daughters and their families, Juli Redmond Renegar (husband Steve), Jill Redmond Newkirk, and Jennifer Lynne Kellerhals (husband Jake). He is also survived by six grandchildren, Emily, Olivia, Ray, Jakob, Joli, and Andre; his three great grandchildren, Isaiah, Lennox, and Shai; his brother, Jimmy Redmond (wife Judy); his sister, Bonnie Bates; his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerry Barber (wife Kathy), Nancy Galardo (husband Gino), Sheila Kazmerzak (husband Terry), and Donna Meeks (husband Ken). Eddie lived his life serving God and others. He was an avid runner. He ran his last half marathon in January 2023 where he came in 1st place in his age group. He was involved in jail/prison ministries, men's ministries and Eddie and Lynne led the youth group and small groups at their church. When Eddie wasn't running, he enjoyed spending time with his family, working in the yard, splitting firewood and riding the grandkids around on the tractor. Eddie was known for never meeting a stranger and praying for anyone the Lord placed on his heart. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. The Family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home, January 2, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Eddie's service will follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that you send donations to Must Ministries at www.mustministries.org/ways-to-donate.
