Darnell, age 79, of Canton, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. She was born November 11, 1946 to Seth and Cora Mae Johnson in Canton, Georgia. Elayne is survived by her daughter, Jodi Jackson of Jasper; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Linda Johnson of McDonough; sisters, Selma DeBerry of Rossville, Gayle Johnson of Canton, Shippey Gardner of Canton; grandchildren, Julie and Nick Williamson of Acworth, Sarah Miller of Jasper, Christopher and Chassidy Barnes of Jasper; great-grandchildren, Lyken Miller of Jasper, Logan Williamson of Acworth, and Corbin Williamson of Acworth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Darnell and son, Joshua Darnell. No services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
