Cornett, age 80, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026. She was born June 20, 1945 to Benjamin and Jaffie Denney in Ball Ground, Georgia. Eldie is survived by her husband, JC Cornett of Jasper; daughters, Cheryl and William Faucett of Ball Ground, Deaneen Kelley of Ball Ground and Diane Leffingwell of Ball Ground, Lurleen "Lollie" and Scott Mason of Kennesaw; Jolain and Jason Brownell of Jasper; brother, Douglas Denney of Alabama; sister-in-law, Eva Denney of Jasper; grandchildren, Chris and Allison Faucett of Holly Springs, Mindy and Keith Wharton of Guyton, Josh and Haley McGaha of Cumming, Lauren Kelly of Cartersville, Sarah Tubo of Kennesaw, Ben Brownell of Jasper, Madeline Brownell of Jasper, James Brownell of Jasper, Taylor and Chanel Mason of Texas, and Kayla Mason and children of Summerville; several great-grandchildren; special family friends, Eric and Shena Wilmarth of Ball Ground, Jody and Lisa Collis and family. Several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings. No services are planned at this time.
