She was born June 9, 1934 to Robert and Francis Fordham in Dothan, Alabama. Betty often said that her greatest accomplishment in life was raising two fine children. She spent most of her life as a housewife and mother. However, when the kids were older, she started an interior decorating business in Gainesville, GA. Her favorite pass time activities were riding motorcycles, driving through the mountains, spending time on the lake, reading, gardening and being with her friends and family. Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rusty and Sue Garrison of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn Garrison and Scott Sweebe of Cody, Wyoming; grandchildren, Tressa and Patrick Hasty, Heather and Brandon Coker, Kaitlyn and Zach Horsley; great-grandchildren, William Hasty, Abigail Hasty, Micah Hasty, Lynly Coker, Sabrina Coker, Miriam Horsley, Wynnston Horsley, Shepherd Horsley; nieces and nephews, Randy Fowler, and Tracy Bunch Suggs. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patty Fowler and niece, Robin Fowler. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home in Jasper, Georgia with Reverend Todd Hilton officiating. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart Mountain Volunteer Medical Clinic at PO Box 1316; Cody, WY or to pioneers.org/donate (Account # 112268) or to the American Cancer Society.
