She was born June 30, 1937 to Grady and Malva Silver in Talking Rock, Georgia. Elsie is survived by her son, Tim Cox of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Joe Banks of Acworth; son, Tracy Cox of Jasper; grandchildren, Luke Banks of Acworth, Victoria Banks of Clemson, South Carolina, Toby Cox of Hoschton, and Taylor Cox of Hoschton. Several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Malva and Grady Silver; brothers and sisters, Charles Silver, Clint Silver, Sam Silvers, Audrey Crump, Goldavee Davis, James Silver, and Ruby Dean. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 10, 2026 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Ricky Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the Ball Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at 11340 Highway 136 West; Talking Rock, Georgia 30175. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 10, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Ball Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
