With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Emily Alicia Smith at 64. A dedicated respiratory therapist and U.S. Navy veteran, Emily graduated from Gwinnett College and devoted her life to caring for others.
She leaves behind her son, Mark Nathaniel Grimm; grandchildren, Christian, Cayden, and Abbie; sisters, Karen Y. Lawson, Teresa A. Jones, and Charlotte Monique Grimm; and is preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and William Benton Grimm Sr.; brothers, William Jr., Paul N.; and sister, Angela.
Emily's nurturing spirit was shown through her love for dogs and wolves. Her legacy of diligence, love, and family values endures.
Join us to celebrate her life at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia on April 29, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. James Stutler of St. Clement's Episcopal Church officiating.
May her memory inspire love and strength in us all.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
