Martin, age 66, of Jasper, Georgia passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. He was born September 1, 1958 in Los Angeles, California. He proudly served his country in the United State Marines for 22 years. Ernest is survived by his wife, Stephanie Martin of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Ashton and Paul Stinespring of Cumming; daughter, Avery McWhirter of Jasper; son, Isaic McWhirter of Jasper; mother, Alice Martin of California; brothers, Freddy Martin of California, James Martin of California, Artie Rodriguez of California; sister, Cynthia Tarazon of California; grandson, Harrison Stinespring; and granddaughter, Julia Stinespring. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Martin. A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2024 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment will be 9:30 a.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
