She was born July 18, 1939 to Turner and Carrie Taylor in Jasper. Mrs. Atkins is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Tammy Cox of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Keith Bowerman of Canton; daughter, Judy Hales and Greg Dobson of Jasper; daughter, Robin Henderson of Jasper; sister, Janie Moore of Jasper; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Atkins. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2022 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
