He's lovingly remembered by his wife of 74 years, Lois Brendel; his children, Greg Brendel and Sherry (Dave) Reynolds; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; his brothers, Wayne Brendel and Ray Brendel; and sister, Linda Reece. Glen is preceded by his mother, Agnes Brendel; father, Albert Brendel; daughter, Carol King; son, Larry Brendel; 7 brothers and 1 sister. After proudly serving GM for 30 years, he retired and moved back to his home state of Georgia in 1981. He enjoyed retirement by camping, tending his well-cared for lawn, and surrounding himself with family. Friends and family are invited to come celebrate Glen at Roper Funeral Home in Jasper, Georgia, Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Ludville, Georgia where he will be laid to rest Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
