She was born December 3, 1937 to Ferman and Dessie Barrett in Fairmount. Mrs. Stone is survived by her husband, Billy Ballew of Talking Rock; sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Cathy Stone of Talking Rock, Lynn and Debbie Stone of Talking Rock; daughter, Linda Richards of Jasper; brothers, Bill Barrett, James Barrett; step-children, Warren Ballew, Tracy Ballew; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. She was preceded in death by daughter, Glenda Ryan; stepchildren, Darrell Ballew and Russell Ballew. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Roper Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Petit officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain Cemetery on Cason Mountain Road, Talking Rock, Georgia 30175. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Friday, January 14, 2022 from 9:00a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. The family will accept flowers or you may make donations in honor of Mrs. Stone to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
