Survivors include his wife, Wanda Buchanan; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and David Holden, Delenna and Sammy Allen; grandchildren, Missy Holden, Shannon Holder, and Kendra Allen; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Holden and Evan Holden. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Hattie Buchanan; son, Barry Turner; brothers, Homer Buchanan, Grady Buchanan, Henrey Buchanan, Johnny Buchanan; and sister, Mamie Byers. Harvey lived a life rooted in hard work, simple joys, and the values he held dear. He found his greatest happiness outdoors-whether tending his garden, working with his hands, or casting a line into still waters. Harvey had a deep love for music, especially bluegrass and gospel, and spent many joyful hours picking tunes on his guitar, often sharing that music with friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 5120 Conns Creek Road; Ball Ground.
