He was born October 14, 1957 to Henry Clayton Smith Sr. and Mary Jean Grant Smith in Athens, Georgia. Henry served in the US Navy and worked at different times for Carrier, Arcadis Surveying, and Goldkist. In recent years he had been retired due to health issues Hank is survived by his wife of 31 years, Anne Smith of Talking Rock; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan Bonner of Jasper, Paul and Carol Smith of Ellijay, Jason Smith of Talking Rock; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Mark Fiolich of Lafeyette, Gina and Claude Painter of Talking Rock. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Jean Smith; brother, Richard Smith. Hank will live forever in our hearts; he is walking today on streets of gold with Jesus. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
