She was born January 1, 1936 to Zed and Lorena Padgett in Pickens County. Idella is survived by her daughters, Vanesa Blackwell of Marble Hill, Jackie Watkins of Jasper, Glenda Chapman of Nelson, Donna Wofford of Jasper, Becky Gaddis of Talking Rock; son, Curtis Elliott of Jasper; son/grandson, Jarome Dowdy of Alto; 11 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Elliott; mother and father, Lorena and Zed Padgett. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2022 at Arbor Hill Baptist Church with Sanford Fountain, Jonathon Edwards, Josh Hamby and Phillip Padgett officiating. Interment will follow in the Arbor Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday, August 26, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
