Mrs. Heard is survived by her husband, Marvin A. Heard Sr. of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Alisa and Willie Whitsett of Akron, Alabama; daughter, Selene Heard of Riverdale; son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Andrea Heard Jr. of Dunwoody, Georgia; God-daughter, Melissa Pettway of Canton; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Otis and Fannie Hampton of Atlanta, Leo Hampton of Nelson, Curtis Hampton of Canton, Mitchell and Wynona Hampton of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Lois Cherry of Jasper, Annie Ruth Moody of Marietta, Ruthie Jenkins of Marietta; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family members. Inez was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mattie Hampton and several sisters and brothers. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Lake Forest Memorial Park with Rev. Steven Heard officiating. Viewing will be at Roper Funeral Home on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
