He was born March 27, 1944 to T. R. and Zena Voyles in Jasper, Georgia. He was a dedicated lay baseball coach for many years at Pickens High School. Outside of coaching, Jackie also enjoyed bluegrass music, was an avid Braves fan, and loved spending time with his family. Jackie is survived by his sister, Linda Satterfield of Canton; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Faye Voyles of Jasper; grandchildren, Courtney McCoy of Jasper, Corey Voyles of Jasper, Brittany Miller of Jasper; and Brandi Voyles of Jasper. Several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, T. R. and Zena Voyles; son, Judd Voyles; and daughter, Tammy Bell. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Jasper with Reverend Grant Wade and Reverend Charles Holbert officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The family will accept flowers. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
