Mr. Anderson was employed over many years with local grocery stores in the produce department including, McFarland's, Walmart, and later with Ingles. He was preceded in death by his father, George Wilson Anderson and his mother, Stella Fields Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Laneve Richards Anderson of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Jeremy Young of Jasper; son, Jason Anderson; brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Inge Anderson of Jasper; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and John Dorsey of Jasper, Barbara and Jimmy Blackwell of Jasper; grandchildren, Sabrina Young and Chloe Young. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday January 22, 2024 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Shipman officiating. Music will be conducted by Brian Rittenberry. The interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ricky Jarrett officiating. The following will be serving as pallbearers, Darren Hooper, Steven Padgett, Blake Lancaster, Ethan Fields, Jackie McClure, and Tex Macom. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper.
