He was born April 29, 1972 to Robert and Louise Brown in Marietta, Georgia. Jim is survived by his daughters, Hannah Brown of Cripple Creek, Colorado, Autumn Brown of Cripple Creek, Colorado; parents, Robert and Louise Brown of Marble Hill; sister, Mary Jo Brown of Marble Hill; grandchild, Julia Garcia of Cripple Creek, Colorado; girlfriend, Jincy Parker of Jasper; special family, Robbie and Christian Buschman, Neako Hallisey all of Colorado; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tommy and Shirley Johnson of Waleska. Several cousins and extended family members also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorie Brown. Jim Brown never met a stranger. With his outgoing personality and big smile, he made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed being a truck driver and a delivery man, from bread to granite to propane and enjoyed meeting people along the way. Jim was saved and baptized at Marble Hill Baptist Church when he was 11 years old, along with his twin sister. In their early 20's, they were both a part of Marble City Quartet, in which Jim sang bass. He, his wife, and their daughters moved to Colorado in 2014 and spent several years there, welcoming a granddaughter along the way. During the time following his wife's passing in 2022, Jim began to desire to return home to Georgia. He was able to do that in May 2024. Jim loved the lord, his family, and all the special people in his life. His passing has left a great void for many; but he left behind countless memories, and most importantly, his testimony, which will provide a great comfort in the days ahead. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Alan Day, Reverend Buck Parker, and Reverend Tommy Estes officiating. Interment will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery at 153 Corinth Road, Marble Hill, GA 30148. Marble Hill Lodge No. 207 will be in charge of Graveside Service. Pallbearers are Hannah Brown, Larry Buck, Greg Lowe, Jeff Roberts, Justin Fellenbaum, Ron Fellenbaum, Robbie Buschman, and Kenny Payne. Honorary pallbearers are Employees of Blue Rhino Propane, Masons, and Deano Faulkfino. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Monday, May 26, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
