He was born July 20, 1950 to James Mitchell and Madeline Estell Mauldin in Norfolk, Virginia. James is survived by his wife, Fay Turner Mauldin of Jasper; daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Daniel Waldrop of North Carolina, Diane and Nick Springer of Jasper; son, James Mauldin III of Westerville, Ohio; grandchildren, Kaylyn Waldrop, Wesley Waldrop, Abigail Springer, Claire Springer, Noelle Springer; and several other family members. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2024 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
